You've successfully gathered data using Google Forms—perhaps for a customer feedback survey, an event registration, or an employee evaluation.

Now comes the hard part: presenting that data. Sending a raw spreadsheet of responses is often unprofessional and hard to read. Instead, you want to combine those responses into a polished, easy-to-read PDF report.

In this article, we will show you exactly how to transform scattered Google Forms responses into a cohesive, single PDF report.

Method 1: Create a Visual Summary Report

Google Forms automatically generates a beautiful summary of all your responses, complete with pie charts, bar graphs, and response breakdowns. This is often the best format for a management report.

  1. Open your Google Form in edit mode.
  2. Navigate to the Responses tab.
  3. Make sure you are on the Summary sub-tab.
  4. Scroll through to ensure all the charts have rendered.
  5. Press Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac) to open the print dialog.
  6. Set the destination to Save as PDF and click Save.

This single action gives you a highly visual PDF report that is perfect for presentations.

Method 2: Use Google Docs with Google Sheets Data

If you need a more customized report—for example, if you want to add your own analysis, executive summary, or company branding—you should use Google Docs as an intermediary.

  1. Open your Google Form and click the Google Sheets icon in the Responses tab to view the raw data.
  2. Create a new Google Doc and format it as a report (add your logo, title page, and headings).
  3. Copy the relevant charts from your Google Form (using the small copy icon in the top right of each chart in the Summary tab).
  4. Paste the charts into your Google Doc.
  5. If you need to include tabular data, copy the relevant rows/columns from your Google Sheet and paste them into the Google Doc.
  6. Once your report looks perfect, go to File → Download → PDF Document (.pdf).

Method 3: Merging Multiple Individual PDFs

Sometimes a "report" isn't a summary of all data, but rather a collection of individual submissions. For example, if you collected 20 job applications via Google Forms and want to send them all to the hiring manager as a single packet.

Step 1: Save Individual Responses

  • Go to the Responses tab in Google Forms.
  • Click the Individual sub-tab.
  • Click the Print icon on the first response and Save as PDF.
  • Repeat this for all responses you wish to include.

Step 2: Combine the PDFs

Now that you have multiple individual PDFs, you need to combine them into one report.

  • Go to the Merge PDF tool on BunnyPDF.
  • Upload all the individual response PDFs you just saved.
  • Drag and drop to arrange them in the correct order (e.g., alphabetically, or by submission date).
  • Click Merge PDF to combine them into a single, continuous document.

Optimizing Your PDF Report

After creating your PDF report, it might be too large to email, especially if it contains many charts or merged documents.

  • Reduce File Size: Use the Compress PDF tool to shrink the file size without losing the quality of your charts and text.
  • Remove Unwanted Pages: If your print-to-PDF included blank pages at the end, use the Split PDF tool to remove them and keep your report clean.
  • Add a Cover Page: If you created a separate cover page in a different program, you can easily attach it to the front of your report using the Merge PDF tool.
